Listening in Your Podcast App

Add your purchased bundles to Apple Podcasts, Overcast, Pocket Casts, and more.

When you buy a bundle on Pony Up, you get a private RSS feed that lets you listen in the podcast app you already use. Your episodes show up alongside your other podcasts — no switching between apps, no browser required. This guide explains how to set it up.

How it works

Every purchase on Pony Up generates a unique, private RSS feed URL just for you. This feed contains all the episodes in the bundle you bought. When you add it to your podcast app, the episodes appear like any other podcast — you can download them, stream them, and pick up where you left off.

The feed is private and tied to your purchase. Only you can access it, and the audio files are protected with signed URLs that refresh automatically.

Adding to your podcast app

After purchasing a bundle, you'll see a set of buttons on the bundle page for adding the feed to your preferred app. Pony Up supports one-tap setup for Apple Podcasts, Overcast, Pocket Casts, Castro, Downcast, Podcast Addict, AntennaPod, and Player FM.

Apple Podcasts

Tap the Apple Podcasts button on the bundle page. This opens Apple Podcasts directly with your private feed pre-filled. Confirm the subscription and your episodes will start appearing in your library. They'll download automatically based on your Apple Podcasts settings.

Overcast

Tap the Overcast button. Overcast will open and add the feed. Your episodes appear in a new podcast entry in your Overcast library, ready to stream or download.

Pocket Casts

Tap the Pocket Casts button. The feed is added to your Pocket Casts account. Episodes sync across all your devices if you're using a Pocket Casts account.

Other apps

If your app isn't listed, you can add the feed manually. Look for the Copy feed URL button on the bundle page — this copies your private RSS feed URL to your clipboard. Then:

  1. Open your podcast app
  2. Look for an option like "Add by URL", "Add RSS feed", or "Subscribe by URL" — this is usually in the app's settings or search screen
  3. Paste the feed URL you copied
  4. Confirm, and your episodes will appear

Most podcast apps support adding feeds by URL. If you can't find the option, check your app's help documentation for "private feeds" or "RSS feeds".

What to expect

Once the feed is added, your episodes will appear as a podcast in your app's library. Depending on your app's settings, they may download automatically or be available to stream.

Episode artwork, titles, and descriptions all come through the feed, so you'll see the same information as on the Pony Up website.

Your feed is private

Your RSS feed URL is unique to your purchase — treat it like a password. Don't share it publicly, as anyone with the URL could access your episodes. If you share the feed with a friend, they'll be able to listen without having purchased the bundle.

If you believe your feed URL has been compromised, contact us and we can generate a new one.

Troubleshooting

Episodes aren't appearing in my app. Give it a minute — some apps take a short time to fetch and parse a new feed. Try pulling down to refresh in your podcast app. If they still don't appear after a few minutes, try removing and re-adding the feed.

Audio won't play. The signed audio URLs in the feed refresh automatically, but if your app has cached an expired URL, try refreshing the feed or re-downloading the episode. This is rare — the URLs are valid for 2 days and the feed refreshes every 30 minutes.

I can't find the "Add by URL" option. Not all apps make this easy to find. In Apple Podcasts, go to Library → top-right menu. In Overcast, tap the + button then "Add URL". In Pocket Casts, go to Discover and paste the URL in the search bar. If your app doesn't support adding RSS feeds, you can always listen directly on the Pony Up website.

I've switched phones / podcast apps. Your feed URL stays the same. Just add it again in your new app using the same URL — you'll find it on the bundle page on the Pony Up website.
